Stephanie Dykeman-Sklar, a former student at Temple Menorah in Milwaukee, shared her remembrances of her grandparents, Holocaust survivors, at the recent Yom HaShoah memorial service in Skokie, Ill.
Dykeman-Sklar graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2001 and from the law school of the University of California-Berkeley in 2004. She works as director of domestic affairs for the Jewish Community Relations Council of the Jewish United Fund/Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago.
