A website devoted to “connecting Milwaukee’s Torah observant communities” was launched on March 13.
Called “Jewish In Milwaukee,” it provides announcements of events, classified advertisements, business listings, and other kinds of postings.
According to the site’s “About Us” area, the site is an outgrowth of the “Community Bulletin Board” that Judith Eigen created in 2009.
“The Bulletin Board became a vital source of information, and grew in size until it was bursting at the seams,” the site states. “The launching of this website … increased our capacity to share information about events, goods and services, calendar information, organizations, and fun things to do with our families. Information that was only occasionally posted in the Bulletin Board because of space limitations is now continually available…”
