This photo of the Sixth Ward School at Fourth and Galena from around 1906-1910 was recently donated to the Jewish Museum Milwaukee Archives by Linda Gorens-Levey. Linda’s grandmother Esther (Fox) Larkey, mother of Jay Larkey and Seema (Larkey) Gorens, is seated third from the left in the front row. Readers who can identify any of the other children should inform the archives at the Jewish Museum Milwaukee at archives@jewishmuseummilwaukee.org. This is the first in a series of historical photos from the JMM archives or back issues of The Wisconsin Jewish Chronicle that will be presented in coming issues.
