Maxwell Street Band celebrates Friesler at JHCC Yiddish Fest

The Chicago-based Maxwell Street Klezmer Band will be the highlight of the Jewish Home and Care Center’s Yiddish Fest with a special performance on Sunday, Feb. 17 at 2 p.m.

The performance will celebrate the life of Tobi Friesler. The performance is free and continues the 18th year celebration of Chai Point Senior Living that began in August.

Friesler was a dearly loved JHCC resident who was challenged with late onset Tay Sachs disease, which took her life in 2011 at the age of 43.

The performance will take place in the newly renovated Rubenstein Pavilion and is open to the public. For information, call Chai Point Senior Living at 414-289-9600. Free parking is available in the garage under 1414 N. Prospect Ave.
