Chudnow community hosts concert, discussion, Purim

          The Sarah Chudnow Community will host a variety of events in February, including a concert, a thought-provoking panel discussion, a kosher Italian dinner, and a Purim celebration.

          On Tuesday, Feb. 5, 7 p.m., the community will host Shir Simcha in the second installment of its Winter Concert Series. Shir Simcha is an ensemble of accomplished musicians, each well respected as solo performers.

          On Wednesday, Feb. 20, the community will host “Cruising the Mediterranean,” a gourmet kosher Italian dinner. Zoe Biller, Sarah Chudnow’s music therapist, will provide music. There will be two sittings, 5 and 5:30 p.m. Cost is $17.50 per person. Call 262-478-1500 by Feb. 15 for reservations; ask for Bridget.

          On Thursday, Feb. 21, 1:30 p.m., the community will host a discussion of “Science and Religion: Is What We Know as Important as What We Believe?”

          Panelists include Rev. Dr. Kevin Voss, D.V.M, Ph.D., director of Concordia University Wisconsin’s Bioethics Institute; Dr. Shimon Salama, an Orthodox Jew who holds a Ph.D. in physics and is president of S Square Innovations; and Father Guy Gurath from the Milwaukee Archdiocese Grief Ministry.

          On Sunday, Feb. 24, 3 p.m., the community will host a Purim party for the residents.
