ASKT to start series on prayer

A new series of talks and discussions titled “Hey God, It’s Me! A Series Devoted to Making Prayer More Meaningful” will start this month at Anshe Sfard Kehillat Torah.

The series will investigate the structure, meaning, and history of the development of Jewish prayer, and will seek to develop strategies for making prayer more relevant to busy, modern, sophisticated men and women of the Western world.

Given by Rabbi Wes Kalmar, the class will begin with “The Power of Psalms” on Wednesday, Dec. 5, and will continue with the series on Dec. 12; Jan. 2, 9, 23, and 30, and conclude on Feb. 6.

Admission is free and the public is invited. All classes will take place at 8 p.m. at ASKT, 6717 N. Green Bay Ave., in Glendale. For more information, call ASKT, 414-228-9296.
