Moshe Shmueli and Nitzan Livni are Milwaukee’s new young Israel emissaries from the Shin Shin (Shnat Sherut Shlishit, Third Year of Service) endeavor of the Jewish Agency for Israel’s Young Emissaries Program. These volunteers will serve for a year before starting their military service. The Milwaukee Jewish Federation and the JAFI Partnership2Gether program bring Shin Shinim to Milwaukee from the P2G region, the Sovev Kinneret (around Lake Kinneret), that the Milwaukee Jewish community shares with the communities of St. Paul and Tulsa. Shmueli comes from a moshav in the Galilee and is, among other things, an avid table tennis player. Livni comes from Kfar Tavor and, among other things, has competed in horse-riding competitions. Both will be working at area day schools, synagogues, and the Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center. Photo provided by Livni.
