The MECA Wisconsin Police Canine Vest Foundation, Inc. will purchase police dogs for Greenfield, Greendale, and the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s K-9 departments via the recently established Stan Lee Kass K-9 Fund.
The foundation recently created this fund, which is underwritten by Stan Kass, president of Skylark Vending in memory of his late wife Lee Kass.
The foundation presented the Greenfield Wisconsin Police K-9 Unit with a check for $14,000 on Sept. 14 at the department’s golf outing fundraiser.
The foundation will also be purchasing two dogs for the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s K-9 department and will be assisting the Greendale police department with setting up its K-9 unit by helping to purchase its first dog.
