JCRC, Chai Point host discussion on hate crimes

The Jewish Community Relations Council of the Milwaukee Jewish Federation and Chai Point Senior Living Apartment Complex are co-sponsoring a panel discussion titled, “Hate Crimes, Extremists, and Implications for Minority Communities.”

Speakers will include Amardeep Kaleka, son of Satwant Singh Kaleka, the president of the Oak Creek Sikh Temple who was killed in the Aug. 5 attack; Lonnie Nasatir, regional director of the Anti-Defamation League; U.S. Attorney James Santelle; and representatives of the FBI and Milwaukee Police Department.

The event will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 11, 7-8:30 p.m. at Chai Point, 1400 N. Prospect Ave. Admission is free. RSVP to Beth Draper, 414-277-8848, bdraper@jewishseniorliving.org.
