Beth Copelovitch, education director at Beth Israel Center in Madison, attended the Jewish Women’s Archive Institute for Educators July 22-26, held in suburban Boston.
The institute focused on the roles of Jews in the civil rights and labor movements in the U.S. Workshops, computer sessions, and evening programs introduced participants to “Living the Legacy,” a collection of educational material on the subject.
According to a release from JWA, Copelovitch said, “My experience this week was unlike any professional development experience I’ve had… It was a personal development experiences as much as a professional one.”
The Jewish Women’s Archive was founded in 1995 and has amassed an extensive collection of material on American Jewish women, all of it available online.
