Langer provides, oversees kashrut at UW Union

Madison resident Sharon Siegel Langer has a restaurant, Café O, in the University of Wisconsin Hillel Barbara Hochberg Center for Jewish Student Life; and a catering business in Madison and Milwaukee, Osher Zilli Catering.

Recently, she assisted with providing kosher food and kosher oversight for the Wisconsin Union Catering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, working at the second catered wedding under this partnership on July 1. The wedding was that of Lisa and Zach Kaiser, who met at the Hillel.

According to Lisa Wadzinske, catering director of the Wisconsin Union, the union was not able to “fill that [kosher] niche” until she partnered with Siegel Langer.
