Brian “Shifty” Schiff, chair of basketball recruiting for the 19th World Maccabiah Games in Israel, announced that the United States will be sending seven teams to the event — and tryouts will be happening soon.
There will be two teams for boys (ages 16 and 18) and one for girls (16), an open men’s team and an open women’s team, and two “masters” teams for men over 35 and over 45.

The games are scheduled to take place in the summer of 2013.
