The Sarah Chudnow Community in Mequon will host several special events in June. They include:
• On Tuesday, June 7, 2 p.m., a panel of local rabbis will meet for a public discussion on different Jewish perspectives for the aged and aging. Panelists will be Rabbi Ron Shapiro of Congregation Shalom, Rabbi Tamar Crystal of Beth El Ner Tamid Synagogue, and Rabbi Levi Emmer of the Jewish Home and Care Center.
• On Wednesday, June 13, 11 a.m., Chicago’s theater buff Richard Klein will give a presentation on three influential Jewish women comedians, Molly Picon, Fanny Brice, and Molly Goldberg.
• On Thursday, June 28, 9 a.m. to noon, Sarah Chudnow will offer free comprehensive hearing examinations to the community. Dr. Heather Zingler, audiologist and professor at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, will be performing the tests with assistance of her students. All testing will be performed in private and the hearing specialists will provide resources on managing hearing loss. Light refreshments will be served.
