Cultivating plants and people

On May 20, about 60 people from Congregation Shir Hadash and All People’s Church worked to build 12 raised vegetable gardens. The gardens will be tended by youth in the area under a work experience project in which the church becomes a reference for future employment applications. The harvested food will be used for the church food pantry. This is the fifth consecutive year of Shir Hadash’s garden projects. Photo provided by Max Samson.
