Sinai to present ‘Broadway on the Biima’

Congregation Sinai will honor the 60th wedding anniversary of Rita and Rabbi Jay Brickman with a concert titled “Broadway on the Bima” on Saturday, May 12, 7:30 p.m., at the synagogue, 8223 N. Port Washington Rd.

Cantor Rebecca Robins will preside over this program of music of Jewish composers on Broadway. In addition to performing herself, she will be joined by professional vocalists Kerry Saver and Doug Clemons, and pianist Karen Horwitz.

A champagne and dessert reception with silent auction will follow the performance.

“Broadway on the Bima” is chaired by Joan and Michael Friedman. Honorary co-chairs include Margie Becker, Toots Hassel, Muriel Silbar, and Dorothy and Al Meyers. Brickman is the synagogue’s founding rabbi and present rabbi emeritus.

Tickets are $50 per person prior to May 1, $65 after that date or at the door. Patron opportunities are available with preferred and premium seating beginning at $180.00. A wine and cheese preview party is available for all Patron level guests at 6:30 p.m.
