Two community women receive Sacagawea Award

Elizabeth Brenner and Linda Gorens-Levey received the Sacagawea Award from Professional Dimensions, the southeastern Wisconsin networking organization for professional women.

They received the award at a dinner held March 14 at the Pfister Hotel.

Brenner is executive vice president and chief operating officer of Journal Communications, and is president and publisher of Journal Sentinel, Inc. She also is active in community organizations, including the Medical College of Wisconsin and Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.

Gorens-Levey is managing director of Stark Investments. She also is active in community organizations, including the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts and the Medical College of Wisconsin; and she is active in the Jewish community, serving on the audit committee of the Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center and as co-chair of the Milwaukee Jewish Federation’s Economic Forum.
