JCRC is co-sponsor of Women’s Day celebration

         The Jewish Community Relations Council of the Milwaukee Jewish Federation is one of the co-sponsors of a celebration of International Women’s Day that will be held Sunday, March 11, 2 p.m., at Mount Mary College’s Bergstrom Hall, 2900 N. Menomonee River Parkway.

         The event is titled “Connecting Girls, Inspiring Futures.” According to a brochure, the event is intended to be “an opportunity for women and girls from various traditions and ethnicities that live in our community to connect and celebrate one another.”

         Featured speaker will be Congresswoman Gwen Moore. Other events will include African drumming and poetry reading. Refreshments will be served.
