Chai Lights: Going Ga-Ga

School-age children play in the new Ga-Ga Pit at the Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center. Measuring 26 feet in diameter, the plastic Ga-Ga pit was installed at the JCC in January. The game Ga-Ga, which originated in Australia, is popular around the world, especially in Israel. It is played like dodge ball, only the action takes place within an enclosed pit, and players try to knock out opponents by hitting them below the knee with the ball. Photo by Kipp Friedman.
