Spertus to investigate state of American Jewish belief

The Spertus Institute of Jewish Studies in Chicago will present a discussion of “The State of American Jewish Belief Revisited: At the Edge of a Crisis or at a New Threshold?” on Sunday, March 4, noon to 6 p.m.

Six panelists from seminaries of all major U.S. Jewish denominations and other universities will explore the theological dimensions of the perceived crisis in U.S. Jewish religious identification and synagogue membership.

The event is a collaboration between Spertus and the Center for Jewish Studies and the Martin Marty Center for the Advanced Study of Religion at the University of Chicago. Admission is free, but reservations are required.
