Renowned Jewish rock musician and songwriter Rick Recht is scheduled to perform on Saturday, Feb. 4, 6:45 p.m., at the Milwaukee Jewish Day School, 6401 N. Santa Monica Blvd.
The event will include an end-of-Shabbat Havdalah ceremony and then a concert. Admission is free.
In addition to being a singer-songwriter-performer who has released seven recordings and does about 150 performances a year, Recht is the national music spokesman for The PJ Library and the executive director of Songleader Boot Camp, a leadership development program held annually in St. Louis. He is also the founder and executive director of Jewish Rock Radio, the first Jewish rock Internet radio station.
The event is being hosted by MJDS and its parent-teacher organization; the Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center; Congregations Beth Israel, Emanu-El B’ne Jeshurun, Shalom, and Sinai; and the Milwaukee Jewish Federation.
