Mardee Merar, a sophomore at Homestead High School in Mequon, placed fifth at the WIAA State Girls Tennis Tournament, Oct. 13-15. In addition, Homestead’s girls’ tennis team won the state championship for the fourth year in a row on Oct. 22.
