Chai Lights: Israeli social workers visit

From left, Nina Oz, Tikvah Naveh, Smadar Zilberman, and David Gabai — all social workers from the Sovev Kinneret region of Israel — visited Milwaukee Nov. 11-17. In the photo above, they are shown at Chai Point on Nov. 14. Their stops included a presentation at the Jewish Home and Care Center about caring for Holocaust survivors, plus tours of the Milwaukee Veterans Administration Medical Center, area synagogues, and the Milwaukee Jewish Day School. The visit was sponsored by the Israel Center of the MJF, which participates in the Jewish Agency for Israel Partnership2Gether Program that links regions of Israel with regions of the United States — in this instance, Milwaukee, St. Paul, and Tulsa with the Sovev Kinneret — to encourage development of personal connections.
