Lecture on “jump” photographer Philipp Halsmann

As part of the “Roots and Restlessness” series presented by UWM’s Sam and Helen Stahl Center for Jewish Studies, Professor Lisa Silverman will lecture on “From Falling to Jumping,” the story of acclaimed “jumping” photographer Philipp Halsmann and his journey to overcome a shocking false accusation of murder in what became known as “the Austrian Dreyfus Affair.” 

 The lecture, which is free of charge, will take place on Wednesday, November 9 at 7 p.m. at Jewish Museum Milwaukee, 1360 N. Prospect Avenue.
