Among 60 members of Milwaukee’s North Shore Quilters Guild, two Jewish quilt artists will be featured at the first group show in Wisconsin’s newest museum, The Wisconsin Museum of Quilts & Fiber Arts.
Nina Edelman and Marla Morris Kennedy, both non-traditional art quilters, will show their work Oct. 22 and 23 at the museum in Cedarburg, N 50 W5050 Portland Rd.
More than 100 quilts on display, vendors, demos and a family I-Spy treasure hunt are offered. In addition to a guild-made fall-themed raffle quilt, a special offering of small Japanese inspired art quilts created in response to the earthquake and tsunami disaster can be purchased with a check written directly to a disaster relief agency.
The show, “Quilts Through the Barn Door,” runs 10 a.m.-4.p.m. on both days. Admission is $5.
