Chai Lights: Hillel Academy honors Baders

Some 500 people attended the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Hillel Academy, Wisconsin first successful Jewish day school, on Aug. 14 at the Pfister Hotel. One of the honorees was Alfred Bader (shown here), one of the school’s founders, whose sons David and Daniel, who were the other honorees, were among the school’s first students. Bader received a painting by Yossi Rubin illuminating verses from Amos 9. Photo by Leon Cohen.
