Frazer picked to be ‘Badger Boy’

Jacob Frazer, 16, was one of 850 Wisconsin boys selected to participate in the Badger Boys State, held June 11-18 at Ripon College.

Participants learn about the U.S. governmental system through role-playing exercises, creating a mock “state” and running its government organizations. Past participants have included Gov. Scott Walker and former governors Scott McCallum and Martin Schreiber.

Frazer will be a senior at Nicolet High School this autumn. He is also a winner (in 2010) of the Holocaust Youth Essay Contest for the Milwaukee Jewish community’s Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Memorial Day) commemoration.
