Film class shows Israeli love story

Chen is the son of a native Israeli father and a Russian immigrant mother. He falls in love with a girl in a ballroom dance class, and as a result immerses himself in dance.

This story is told in the Israeli film “Love and Dance” (“Sipur Hatzi-Russi,” 2006). It will be shown in a film class scheduled for Sunday, June 5, 4 p.m., at the Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center.

Admission is free. The film is suitable for ages 14 and up. Paz Goldschmidt, emissary from Israel and director of the Milwaukee Jewish Federation’s Israel Center, will lead discussion.

The film, the last in a series, is presented by the JCC and the Coalition for Jewish Learning, the education program of the Milwaukee Jewish Federation. For more information, call 414-963-2720.
