Renowned bioethicist Rabbi Edward Reichman, M.D., is scheduled to speak twice in Milwaukee during the Shavuot holiday.
On Tuesday night, June 7, the first night of Shavuot, Reichman will speak at Congregation Anshai Lebowitz in Mequon. The title of his talk will be “The Jewish Medical Ethics Book Club: ‘My Sister’s Keeper’ in Jewish Law.” His discussion will include such issues as organ donation from minors and adults and the definition of death.

On Wednesday, June 8, the first day of Shavuot, Reichman will be speaking at Chabad of Mequon. His topic will be “From Maimonides the Doctor to the Doctor at Maimonides Medical Center: The History of the Jewish Medical Student Throughout the Ages.”
The community is invited after morning services to attend a dairy luncheon, Kiddush, and lecture.
