The Jewish Museum Milwaukee, 1360 N. Prospect Ave., is showing the exhibit, “The Children of Israel Journeyed: Selections from the Chagall Bible Series,” through June 6. It includes 21 etchings on biblical subjects by Marc Chagall, on loan from the Haggerty Museum of Art at Marquette University.

Monday, May 9, noon. Shay Shoshany, head of the Young Leadership Division of Partnership 2000, joined by a delegation of young Israeli adults, will speak about their experiences in the rescue and transport of thousands of Ethiopian Jews. Presented in collaboration with the Israel Center of the Milwaukee Jewish Federation. Free.
Monday, May 16, 7-8:30 p.m. Local art historian and gallery owner David Barnett will discuss the window creations of Marc Chagall and the collection housed in the famed Chagall Museum in Nice, France. At the museum. Free for members, $5 for non-members.
Tuesday, May 24, 7-9 p.m. A reception and gallery viewing including works for sale by Marc Chagall. A percentage of the evening’s sales will go to benefit programs of the Jewish Museum Milwaukee. At the David Barnett Gallery, 1024 E. State St. Cost: $10.
