Carli Madeline Shapiro of Bayside will celebrate becoming a bat mitzvah on Saturday, Feb. 19, at Congregation Beth Israel. She is the daughter of Sharon and Mark Shapiro and the sister of Sophie, 10.
The maternal grandparents are Bess and the late Sheldon Schneider. Nancy and the late Harold Shapiro are the paternal grandparents.
Carli is a seventh grader at Maple Dale School.
