Betty Mullen

Betty Mullen (nee Kraden) of Grafton died on Dec. 9. She was 84.

She was born in Milwaukee to parents who had fled Ukraine after World War I; and she lived in the city until moving to Grafton in 2000.

She married Milwaukeean Sheldon Mullen. They worked together in the grocery business, owning stores in several locations. They opened one of the first supermarkets in the Milwaukee area. They also worked in the real estate business. He died in 1981.

She was a life member of Hadassah and active in the Jewish War Veterans. She was a member of Temple Menorah.

She is survived by sons Arnold (Shirley) Mullen of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., Harvey Mullen of Honolulu, and Robert Mullen of Milwaukee; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Blane Goodman Funeral Service handled the arrangements. Graveside services were held Dec. 14 at Second Home Cemetery.

The family would appreciate memorial contributions to Hadassah.
