Miriam Rosenberg

Milwaukeean Miriam Rosenberg, nee Wiener, died Nov. 16 of cancer. She was 74.

She was born in St. Paul, Minn., went to high school there, and graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1958. She worked as a special education teacher, and came to Milwaukee in 1966.

She was a member of Congregation Beth Israel and its sisterhood, Hadassah, NA’AMAT, the Milwaukee Jewish Community Chorale, and AEPhi sorority.

She is survived by her husband Milton Rosenberg; daughter Deborah (Hillel) Pester of Cherry Hill, N.J.; sons Michael Rosenberg of Madison, Jonathan (Linda) Rosenberg of Cranbury, N.J., and Josh Rosenberg of Milwaukee; sister Goldie Singer of Los Angeles; and four grandchildren.

Goodman-Bensman Whitefish Bay Funeral Home handled the arrangements. Rabbi Jacob Herber officiated at the service on Nov. 19. Burial was in Second Home Cemetery.
