Ilana Mae Friedman of Bayside will celebrate becoming a bat mitzvah on Jan. 15 at Congregation Sinai. She is the daughter of Jennifer and Ari Friedman and the sister of Seth, 10, and Bennett, 5.
The maternal grandparents are Bonnie Yales (Ray) Gibson and the late Rabbi Cary David Yales. Elaine Muchin Friedman and Arthur Friedman of Fox Point are the paternal grandparents.
Ilana is a student at Maple Dale School.
