Warren A. Lederman

Milwaukeean Warren A. Lederman died on Aug. 31. He was 71.

He was born in Beverly, Mass., and graduated from high school there in 1956. He earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the 1960s. He came to Milwaukee in 1968, and earned a doctorate in mechanical engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1990.

He worked as a mechanical engineer and also taught the subject. He also had interests in writing — he was the author of a novel published in 2001 — and in music, especially jazz and country, according to his family.

He was a member of Beth El Ner Tamid Synagogue.

He is survived by his wife, Ann (nee Zussman); son Steve (Elana) Lederman of Silver Spring, Md.; and three grandchildren.

Blane Goodman Funeral Service handled the arrangements. Rabbi Tamar Crystal officiated at the funeral on Sept. 2. Burial was in Second Home Cemetery.

The family requests memorial contributions to Beth El Ner Tamid Synagogue or the National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin.
