Rabbi Rebecca Ben-Gideon of Madison is one of 22 U.S. rabbis chosen to participate in a fellowship program of Rabbis Without Borders, an initiative seeking to help rabbis make Jewish wisdom accessible to a wider public.
According to a release, this program is intended to encourage rabbis to “think out of the box” and create a network of interdenominational religious leaders across North America. The participants will meet four times in New York City during the course of a year; the first session took place Oct. 18-19.
Ben-Gideon is director of the Madison Jewish Community Day School (see August Chronicle) and the wife of Rabbi Joshua Ben-Gideon of Madison’s Beth Israel Center.
