Former Milwaukeean M. Evan Wolkenstein, Jewish studies teacher and director of experiential education at The Jewish Community High School of the Bay in San Francisco, recently received the 2010 Diller Family Award for Excellence in Jewish Education in the day school category.
He also recently received the 2009 Research Award from the Aurora University of Wisconsin Medical Education Group in Milwaukee for co-writing a paper with his father, Prof. Alan S. Wolkenstein of the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Their paper is titled “Using Reflective Learning in Graduate Medical Education and Practice.” It was published in the Fall 2009 issue of Medical Encounter.
