Glendale resident Eva Kay Jolton died May 16, due to complications from surgery. She was 75.
Born in Santa Fe, N.M., Eva attended high school in Taos, graduated in 1952, and went on to earn a Bachelor of Fine Art in theater from the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, in 1956.
After moving from Minneapolis to Milwaukee in 1978, she worked as vice president of merchandising of T.A. Chapman Company, was a costume designer at Nicolet High School’s theater department and served as administrative assistant of the American Jewish Community-Milwaukee Chapter.
A longtime member of Congregation Sinai, she was an active participant in the synagogue’s Sisterhood, Torah study and learning groups.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Stanley M. Jolton; sons Joseph Jerome (Carolyn Berman) Jolton of Golden Valley, Minn., Michael David Jolton of Denver, Colo.; and Jeffrey Arthur (Marcia) Jolton of Lincoln, Neb.; brother Conrad (Rosalind) Kay of Arlington, Texas; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Congregation Sinai on May 25. Rabbi David Cohen officiated. Blane Goodman Funeral Service handled funeral arrangements. Burial was in Denver.
