Award-winning needlepointer Yetta Kaufman, nee Bodner, died from complications of dementia on Dec. 13 at age 87.
A Milwaukee native, she graduated from Washington High School in 1940. She served as treasurer of the Ladies Auxiliary of Mt. Sinai Hospital and volunteered at Hadassah and the Jewish Home and Care Center.
A member of Beth El Ner Tamid Synagogue, she was particularly focused on her family.
She is survived by husband Kiesl K. Kaufman of Milwaukee; son Jay (Ingrid) Kaufman of Phoenix, Ariz.; daughters Lynne (Charles) Bomzer of Milwaukee and Jill (Robert) Youman of Barrington, Ill.; sister Mary Pollack of Glendale; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements were handled by Blane Goodman Funeral Service. Services were held at North Shore Funeral Services and burial was in Mound Zion Cemetery. Rabbi Jacob Herber officiated.
