Sydney Jordan Wasserman will celebrate becoming a bat mitzvah on Oct. 17 at Congregation Shalom. She is the daughter of Alisa and David Wasserman of Whitefish Bay and sister to Hayden, 7.
Her maternal grandparents are Sarah and Stewart Berman of Bronx, N.Y. Toby Wasserman of Boynton Beach, Fla., is her paternal grandmother.
Sydney is a student at Milwaukee Jewish Day School.
