Cere Shovers and Thomas Woods of Chicago were married June 27 at Schlitz Audubon Nature Center. Cantor Rebecca Robins officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Laurie and Harvey Shovers of Bayside. Cere earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Indiana University in 2004 and a master’s degree from DePaul University in public relations and advertising in 2008.
The groom is the son of Lisa and Thomas Woods of River Forest, Ill. He graduated in 2005 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is employed by Rotary International.
The maids of honor were Anna Shovers of Philadelphia and Madeline Shovers of Bayside. Bridesmaids were: Anne Watts of Paris, France; Lori Vesole of Atlanta; and Katherine Cameron of Seattle.
The best man was Grant Woods of Chicago. Groomsmen were Robin Berman of Chicago; Brian Mak of Hong Kong; David Mokry of Athens, Ga.; and Scott Koralik of Chicago.
Ushers were Adam Gratch of Chicago and Adam Woods of Chicago.
The couple honeymooned in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.
