Mari Sadowsky will celebrate becoming a bat mitzvah on Oct. 3 at Congregation Shalom. She is the daughter of Marcia and Earl Sadowsky of Mequon and has four siblings: Mitchell, 34, Ronna and Marla, 31, and Evan, 15.
Her maternal grandmother is Edith Gershon.
Mari is a student at Lake Shore Middle School.
