Scopia recognized for its business plan

Scopia LLC was a finalist in the 2009 Governor’s Business Plan Contest. It won first place among 72 competitors in the contest’s information technology category and was one of 12 companies chosen to compete at the Wisconsin Entrepreneurs’ Conference on June 9 at the Hyatt Regency Milwaukee.

Owned by Milwaukeean Ophir Ben-Yitschak, Scopia is a global travel network that develops online software solutions for “intermodal itineraries,” which integrate different modes of transportation into a single trip, and multi-fare level pricing from multiple sources and programs.

Attracting 326 entries this year, the contest is organized and produced by the Wisconsin Technology Council, The Wisconsin Innovation Network, the Wisconsin Angel Network and other organizations.
