Rhoda Kohne

Native Milwaukeean and longtime Florida resident Rhoda Kohne died of complications of valley fever on March 30 in Phoenix, Ariz. She was 61.

She graduated from Cardinal Stritch College with an art degree. Her particular interest was in sculpture and painting watercolors. “All of her life, Rhoda loved horses and was happiest when around them,” her family said.

She was an avid reader and especially enjoyed autobiographies. In addition, she loved to bake ethnic foods for the holidays.

Kohne is survived by her sister Karen Suran of Peoria, Ariz.; brother Larry (Margaret) Kohne of Brookfield; and nieces Laurie (David) Hill of Cave Creek, Ariz., and Lainie (Mark) Andringa of Delafield.
