Former Milwaukeean Nathaniel Deutsch has been appointed co-director of Jewish studies at the University of California-Santa Cruz. He is also professor of history and literature at the same institution.
A graduate of Hillel Academy Jewish day school and Rufus King High School, he is the son of Suzanna and the late Henri Zvi Deutsch.
