Steven Samuel Kaplan-Pistiner will celebrate becoming a bar mitzvah on March 7 at Congregation Shalom. He is the son of Corinne Kaplan and Bruce Pistiner of Mequon. He is the brother of Tera Kaplan Bogue, 30, and Melissa Kaplan-Pistiner, 20.
The maternal grandparents are Meg and Kipton Kaplan, Sr., of West Bloomfield, Mich. Rosalie and Lew Pistiner of Bayside are the paternal grandparents.
Steven is a student at University School of Milwaukee.
