Glick, 27, was born and raised in Tel Aviv. As an undergraduate, she did a double major in Jewish history and “Studies of the Land of Israel” at Bar Ilan University; and has a master’s degree in Jewish history and teaching from the same institution.
She has been a tour guide, leading tours of archeological sites in the Old City of Jerusalem; and a youth guide, leading groups of teens in tours of Israel for an educational tourism company, Israel Experience.
As Hillel shlichah, she said she seeks to “strengthen the relationship between Jewish American youth and Israel, and shed some light on how much Jewish American and Israeli young people have in common. I want to bring the real Israel to the UW-campus, and open people’s eyes to the Israel beyond what they read/hear in the media.”
