Judge Hansher is chair of Wisconsin Judicial Commission

Milwaukee Circuit Court Judge David A. Hansher has been elected chair of the Wisconsin Judicial Commission. He is the first trial judge to serve in that position since the commission’s creation in 1978.

The commission is responsible for enforcing standards of judicial conduct and maintaining the public’s confidence in the judicial system.

Hansher was appointed to the commission by the state Supreme Court in 2003. He has previously served on the Judicial Conduct Advisory Committee, as co-chair of the Milwaukee Bar Association’s Judicial Section Committee, and on the board of director of the Milwaukee Bar Foundation.
