Marissa Chaet and Raphael Brykman of Washington, D.C., are planning to be married Oct. 5.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Gitta and Barry Chaet of Milwaukee. Marissa graduated from Duke University in 1999 and the Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law in 2006. She works for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
The future groom’s parents are Monique and Louis Brykman of Tewksbury, Mass., and originally from France. Raphael graduated from North Carolina State University in 1998. He is employed by Dynex.
