As of this issue, The Wisconsin Jewish Chronicle will truly be a publication for the entire state’s Jewish community.
Following a June decision by the Milwaukee Jewish Federation’s board of directors, the newspaper will be sent to some 8,000 households, drawing from the federation’s database. It will also be delivered weekly to drop-off points in the community.
“This historic change is an expression of deep faith in The Chronicle and its role in our Jewish community,” said Chronicle editor Elana Kahn-Oren.
“We’re excited not only for the increased number of readers but for the opportunity to engage, communicate and tell the stories of people from all points in our diverse community.”
Founded in 1921 and purchased by the Milwaukee Jewish Federation in 1972, The Chronicle is the state’s only Jewish weekly.
