Milwaukee native Earl Hurwitz died on Feb. 18 at the age of 84.
Hurwitz served in the U.S. Army for 17 months in the European theater during World War II, earning two battle stars for combat.
Preceded in death by his brother, Laurence Hurwitz, he is survived by his wife Bernice Hurwitz (nee Gross) of Mequon; son Gary Hurwitz of Sacramento, Calif.; sister June (Alan) Garland of Deerfield, Ill.; and brother Burton Hurwitz of Milwaukee.
Funeral arrangements were handled by Blane Goodman Funeral Service, LLC. Graveside services were officiated by Rabbi Steven Adams at Spring Hill Cemetery on Feb. 20.
The family appreciates memorial contributions to a charity of the donor’s choice.
